Old trains in Delhi-NCR, fuel crisis

Not only this, 10 years and 15 years old trains will not get fuel in Gurugram, Sonipat, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddha Nagar from 1 November this year. Whereas in other parts of NCR, there is a preparation to offer old trains off by April 2026. In fact, in all these districts of Delhi NCR, anPR camera will be installed at every petrol pump, so that the old trains cannot be fuel. Also, their seizure action starts.

AnPR cameras on petrol pumpers will keep an eye on vehicles

AnPR camera means that this automatic number will be the Plate Recognition camera which will identify the vehicles by looking at the number plate. After this decision of the government, more than 1 crore vehicles are expected to be off road in four states.

Monitoring of old trains will be easy

CAQM said in its order that there are more than 61 lakh old vehicles in Delhi, whose term is over. But only 60 thousand vehicles have been seized. Similarly, there are more than 12 lakh old cars in Uttar Pradesh, but only 5 thousand vehicles were seized. There are more than 27 lakh trains in Haryana, but only 4000 thousand vehicles have been seized. While Rajasthan has more than 6 lakh old vehicles, but only two thousand were confiscated. But if such cameras are installed in the petrol pump, then the government will be able to do the monitor strictly.
