Did you notice? Amul reduced the price of milk by 1 rupee, still there is loss, know why

New Delhi:
Amul on Friday reduced the prices of its milk by Re 1 across the country including Delhi-NCR. When things are becoming expensive every day, this reduction in milk is like good news. But there is a twist in this good news. If it is said that there is loss to the customers even in this reduction of Rs 1? Actually, Amul reduced the price of its milk by Re 1, but also stopped its free scheme of 50 ml. When Amul milk was delivered in Delhi NCR on Friday evening, the price of Gold and Toned milk packets was marked as Rs 1 less, but the free offer of 50 ml was discontinued.

The price of Amul Gold definitely decreased by Re 1, but at the same time the free scheme of 50 ml was also stopped.

Amul has reduced the prices of milk across the country. The prices of 1 liter sachets of Amul Gold, Amul Tea Special and Amul Fresh have been reduced by one rupee. In Delhi, the price of Amul Gold milk has been reduced from Rs 68 per liter to Rs 67, while the price of Amul Taj has now been reduced from Rs 56 per liter to Rs 55. The price of Amul milk has been reduced but along with it, the scheme of 50 ml free milk on one liter pouch has been withdrawn. Did the people buying one liter of Amul milk get any benefit or loss due to this?

The price of Amul Toned Milk also decreased by Re 1 in Delhi NCR, but at the same time the free scheme of 50 ml was also stopped.

Gujarat’s leading dairy sector cooperative Amul, which sells milk products across the country, has reduced the prices of its three major milk products. The prices of one liter sachet of Amul Gold, Amul Tea Special and Amul Fresh have been reduced by one rupee. The new prices have been implemented from Friday, January 24.

Will common consumers get relief from Amul’s price reduction? The answer to this question is – Not to the customers of one liter Amul milk. This is because Amul has reduced the price of its one liter milk by one rupee, but has discontinued a scheme along with it.

Amul was giving 50 ml extra milk free in one liter pouch. Considering the price of Amul Gold at Rs 68 per litre, the price of 50 ml became Rs 3 40 paise. That means till now the consumer actually had to spend Rs 64 60 paise for one liter milk of Amul Gold.

Now that the price of Amul Gold has reduced from Rs 68 to Rs 67, at this rate the consumer will have to spend Rs 2.40 extra rupees 40 paise more for one liter of milk than before.

On one hand Amul reduced the prices of milk and on the other hand it stopped the scheme. In this way, the benefit was not to the customers but to Amul only. However, companies often keep changing prices in this manner, in which customers are attracted but remain in loss.
