After the match, Captain Suryakumar Yadav said, ‘The players are being given a lot of freedom by Gauti Bhai.’ Abhishek Sharma also has similar thoughts. He said during the awards ceremony, ‘I just wanted to play my game. The credit for this goes to the team captain and coach. The kind of freedom he has provided me. The support of captain and coach means a lot for a young player. I had an inkling that he (England bowlers) would use short pitch balls against me and test my patience.
