In the recently released show ‘Home Laxmi’, the actor made a big disclosure about the 1993 film ‘Aankhen’. He told how Salman Khan and Aamir Khan were to be cast in the film first. Actor Chunky Pandey spoke to news agency IANS on the 1993 film ‘Aankhen’. The actor told that the film was going to get Salman Khan and Aamir Khan earlier. The actor also shared the story behind getting ‘Aankhen’.
Chunky told, “Pahlaj was about to make a film with Nihalani, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. But he did not get a chance. Raj Santoshi had launched ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ with Salman and Aamir by then, so Pahlaj decided ‘I cannot make a film with him, maybe I make a similar film but in my style and with my hero’ . After this he made ‘Aankhen’ with me and Govinda. “
He further said, “When he started the film, he wanted to make something bigger and better than ‘Andaz Apna’. He made ‘Eyes’. In fact, we made the film very fast. We completed the entire film in 6 months, because we wanted to come to theaters before ‘Andaz Apna Apna’. It was a healthy competition. ”
When he was asked about his cutest memories related to the film, the actor said, “I think my dearest memories were with Govinda and Kader Bhai, when we shot the whole house scenes. Two spoiled children and their father. I think he was the most entertaining. ” The actor said, “We shot in places like Juhu Beach, Gateway of India and the film had a monkey superstar. Let me tell you that his salary was more than us and he had 6-7 bodyguards who took care of him. ”
Expressing love about the film, the actor said in a funny manner, “I would like to make ‘eyes’ every year of my life. Now I wear glasses and I can’t even see my eyes.”
