Police has made a big disclosure in the case of suspected death of a woman in Mahipalpur area of Delhi. The death of the woman was earlier being described as suicide, although the truth came out after the postmortem report. The police has now arrested her husband on charges of killing the woman. The accused husband said that he had killed his wife by strangling his wife in anger.
According to the information, on 6 March 2025, a PCR call was received in Vasant Kunj South police station area, in which a woman was reported to be hanged in Mahipalpur. When the police reached the spot, it was found that Kalpana, 28, has hanged himself. He was immediately rushed to ISIC Hospital in Vasant Kunj, where doctors declared him dead.
Both of them were married six years ago
Kalpana was married to Amit Kumar about six years ago and both also have a five -year -old son. The parents of the deceased in their statement obeyed the quarrel between the couple, but did not make any allegations like dowry harassment. After this, action was taken under Section 196 of BNSS.
However, in the postmortem conducted at Safdarjung Hospital on 8 March, it was revealed that Kalpana died, not suicide, but “Antimortum Ligcher Strangulation” means strangulation. Visra has also been preserved in the report to investigate the possibility of poison.
Accused husband made shocking revelations
Based on the postmortem report, Kalpana’s husband Amit Saharawat was questioned, in which he made a shocking disclosure. The accused said that on March 5, he went to a wedding ceremony in Masoodpur with the family, where he had a fight with alcohol and a wife. Amit, who was drunk with alcohol, left a relative home.
Shortly after this, Kalpana also reached home and a debate started between the two on domestic issues. Meanwhile, Amit got angry and pressed his neck and then tried to commit suicide by hanging his corpse with a colored cloth rope.
Now accused Amit Saharawat has been arrested under Section 80 of BNS and further investigation is on.
