In order to take action against those who play ‘double-meaning’ Bhojpuri songs in public places in Bihar, the police said that this is one, which is an adverse effect on the mentality of children along with endangering the safety of women as well as the children’s mentality.

A circular issued by the State Police Headquarters said that a case will be registered under the related sections of the Indian Justice Code on public functions, buses, trucks and people playing these songs.

This circular issued on Friday has been sent to all the inspectors (IG), Deputy Superintendents (DIG) and Railway Police.

What is the whole matter

According to the circular, “A special campaign should be launched in the entire state to identify those involved in such activities and those who promote bhil Bhojpuri songs. They feel embarrassed when women listen to such obscene and two -interested Bhojpuri songs in public places, ceremonies, buses, trucks and auto rickshaws. ”

It was told in the circular that sometimes women feel insecure when such songs are played and strict action should be taken against those who violate the instructions in this regard. This issue has been raised in the assembly earlier also.

Congress MLA Pratima Kumari raised this issue in the assembly two years ago and demanded action against those who promoted such songs. The state government had assured the MLAs that strict action would be taken against those who promote Bhojpuri songs ‘porn and double meaning’ on films and social media.
