IND vs PAK; PD Champions Trophy: In an exciting league match of the PD Champions Trophy 2025, the Indian Physical Disability cricket team put in a spectacular performance to defeat arch-rivals Pakistan by 109 runs at the FTZ Cricket Ground, Katunayake. According to a release, this spectacular win demonstrated India’s dominance and their determination to win the tournament. Opting to bat first, India posted a strong score of 160/4 in their allotted 19 overs. Nikhil Manhas led the team by playing a brilliant inning of 59 runs with the help of six fours and three sixes in just 47 balls. He got good support from Indian captain Vikrant Keni, who played a quick inning of 37 runs in 23 balls.

Pakistani bowlers struggled to contain the Indian batsmen, with their most economical bowler Waqif Shah giving away runs at a rate of 5.50 runs per over. In reply, due to the disciplined bowling of the Indian team, the Pakistani team was bundled out for just 51 runs in 12.2 overs. Jeetendra VN and Majid performed brilliantly, taking two wickets each and keeping the scoring rate of the opposition team under control.

Speaking after the match, Nikhil Manhas expressed his happiness, quoting a press release from the Differently Abled Cricket Council of India, “I am extremely proud of the team’s performance today. We worked as a unit and everyone contributed to this win. “This win gives us a lot of confidence as we look forward to lifting the trophy and making our country proud.”
