The character of Nagin has been very special on the silver. Then Reena Roy has been Bollywood’s most popular and superhit serpent. According to IMDB, Reena Roy’s mother did not want her daughter to play the role of Naagin. Nagin film was released in 1976. At the time when the film was being made, Reena Roy was just 19 years old, which was the reason that her mother did not want her to do such a character at a young age. It is said that after doing this character, Reena Roy had become such an image that people started clipping from going to him. Naagin was Reena Roy’s first big hit film.
Interestingly, Jeetendra Sunil Dutt suggested Reena Roy’s name to director Rajkumar Kohli for the film Naagin. Naagin reversed Reena Roy like this, then there was no need to look back. Nagin was a multistarrer film in which Sunil Dutt, Feroz Khan, Vinod Mehra, Rekha, Jeetendra, Sanjay Khan, Mumtaz, Kabir Bedi, Vinod Mehra, Anil Dhawan, Yogita Bali, Ranjit, Jagdeep and Premnath were seen in the lead characters. The budget of Naagin film was about one crore 60 lakhs and box office collection was about seven crore rupees.
