Prayagraj: Police detained Manendra Singh, who hoisted saffron flag at Mazar

Manendra Singh, who hoisted the saffron flag at the shrine of Syed Salar Masood Ghazi in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, was detained by the police and SOG team on Monday. On Sunday, on the occasion of Ramnavami, Manendra Singh hoisted the saffron flag by climbing the tomb of Syed Salar Masood Ghazi in Sikandra in the police station Bahria area, whose video also became increasingly viral on social media.

On the day of Ram Navami, under the leadership of Manendra Singh, activists of Hindu organization climbed on the roof of Masood Ghazi’s tomb and waved the saffron flag. In connection with this case, the police had registered an FIR against more than 20 people, in which Manendra Pratap Singh, Rajkumar Singh, Vinay Tiwari, Abhishek Singh are named.

According to the police, Manendra Pratap Singh is associated with the Hinduist organization Maharaja Suheldev Samman security stage. Manendra Singh describes himself as an alumni leader of Allahabad University. The festival of Ram Navami was being celebrated all over the country on Sunday. In such a situation, 20 to 25 activists led by Manendra Singh took out a rally from a bike waving saffron flag. During the rally, he reached Salar Masood Ghazi’s dargah located in Sikandar area of ​​Prayagraj. He along with his colleagues raised Jai Shri Ram’s slogans and climbed on the tomb of Syed Salar Masood Ghazi and hoisted the saffron flag on both domes, whose video was also revealed. Manendra Singh had said that Salar Masood Ghazi was anxrant. Such invaders have no work in a religious city like Prayagraj.

The Prayagraj police, taking immediate action, registered an FIR against the accused and his associates in the relevant sections. This FIR was lodged at Bahria police station. In the same case, the police took Manendra Singh into custody on Monday. Police is searching for other absconding accused.
