New Delhi:
Protests are taking place against the Waqf (Amendment) Bill at Jantar Mantar in Delhi today i.e. today. AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi has also joined the protests. Representatives of various Muslim organizations and social organizations as well as many opposition MPs have been invited. All India Muslim Personal Law Board gave information about this on Tuesday itself. Board spokesperson Syed Qasim Rasul Ilyas had said that BJP allies like Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Janata Dal (U) have not been invited in this dharna.
Previous performance was to be held on 13 March
Along with this, he also said that it is unfortunate that his allies are also supporting the BJP’s communal politics. The Personal Law Board was earlier to staging a sit -in on March 13, but on that day, due to the possible holiday of Parliament, many MPs expressed their presence on their presence, after which it changed the program. Ilyas said that the representatives of the board had met TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and JD (U) President Nitish Kumar in January and February and sought cooperation from them, but both these parties are currently seen with the government on this subject.
If they are going to protest against this Waqf (amendment), then somewhere they are trying to create hatred among the people of the country and challenge the right to make laws of Parliament … They are trying to confuse people and create differences … This step taken by them is not democratic.
