Bollywood Waheeda Rehman was born on 3 February 1938 in a traditional Muslim family in Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu. He was interested in dance and other creative arts while studying at Joseph Convent School in Visakhapatnam. In Chennai, he also took training in Indian classical dance style, Bharatanatyam with his three sisters. Waheeda was one of the best dancers of her batch and at the age of just 17, she made her Telugu film as a dancer in the Telugu film. The film CID by prestigious film director Raj Khosla was the film from which Waheeda Rehman made her mark in the Hindi film industry.
The second Hindi film of his career was thirsty. With this film, at the age of just 19, she became one of the 50s emerging stars. According to many media reports, Waheeda Rehman fell in love with Shashi Rekhi after Waheeda Rehman and Guru Dutt’s love story was over. Waheeda was very upset then, because most of her people who knew had advised her to give up the idea of marrying Shashi. Then Waheeda Rehman spoke to Salim Khan and discussed his problem with him. It is a matter of 1974, when Waheeda and Shashi got married and had two children, Sohail Rekhi and Kashvi Rekhi. Shashi Rekhi died on 21 November 2000.
