
US Vice President JD Vance has reached India for a four -day visit. JD Vance is accompanied by his wife Vance Usha Vance, her children and other senior members of the US administration. Vice President JD Vance will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to negotiate on economy, trade and Bhurajnic relations. Vance’s visit is being seen as an important diplomatic mission by the administration of President Donald Trump. The timing of Vance tour coincides with a rapidly growing trade war between Washington and the Beijing, which is the main rival of New Delhi in the region.
US Vice President JD Vance’s visit schedule
Vance is the first US Vice President to travel to India in 13 years. This journey is special, as no existing US Vice President has visited India in the last decade. Earlier in 2013, in February 2013, the then Vice President and later became President who came to India.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host Vice President Vance at his official residence on 7 Lok Kalyan Marg on Monday evening. In this meeting, along with discussion on the Indo-US trade agreement, methods of deepening strategic and economic relations between the two democratic countries will be considered.
India’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement, “The yatra will give the two countries an opportunity to review the progress of bilateral relations and take stock of the status of implementation of joint statement issued during the Prime Minister’s visit to the US on 13 February. Also both sides will discuss regional and global issues.”
JD Vance and his family will also go to Agra and Jaipur. JD Vance and his wife Usha have also come with son Ivan (7 years), Vivek (4 years) and 2 -year -old daughter Mirabel. Usha Vance is of Indian origin. His family went to America from Andhra Pradesh.
