Uttar Pradesh: Seven people injured in clash between two groups in Muzaffarnagar, case registered on more than 15


Muzaffarnagar:
At least seven people were injured in a clash between two groups for burning firecrackers during the wedding ceremony on Thursday in a village in Muzaffarnagar. Police gave this information. Police said that this case is from Saidpur village in Titavi area.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Rural Aditya Bansal confirmed that a case has been registered against more than 15 persons and some suspects have been detained.

He said, “The dispute started when firecrackers were burnt in Vikas Kashyap’s wedding, causing tension to the local community. Some wooden structures caught fire causing violent clashes and members of the community attacked the wedding ceremony. “The police immediately intervened to control the situation. Additional police force has been deployed and investigation is on.
