Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday targeted the Congress party fiercely in the Rajya Sabha. The PM attacked the main opposition party, referring to many incidents including the country’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and emergency. In the Rajya Sabha, PM Modi also targeted Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge during his long speech. On PM Modi’s attack, the whole house lashed out all over the House. Not only this, he remembered that reign of the Congress when film stars were being jailed in Jawaharlal Nehru’s government or they were being opposed differently.
PM Modi said in his speech, ‘The country’s first government was. Nehru ji was the Prime Minister and there was a strike of laborers in Mumbai. In it, a song was sung by famous lyricist Majrooh Sultanpuri ji. He sang the poem ‘Commonwealth’s Das Hai’, on which Nehru put him in jail. Famous actor Balraj Sahni joined only one procession, so he was jailed. Lata Mangeshkar’s brother Hridaynath Mangeshkar planned to broadcast a poem on Veer Savarkar on Akashvani, after doing so, he was fired.
Recalling the emergency era in the speech, the Prime Minister said on the events related to other film stars, ‘The country has also seen the emergency. Devanand was urged to support the Emergency, but he refused. Therefore, all the films of Devanand were banned on Doordarshan. People who talk about the constitution have kept it in their pockets for years. Kishore Kumar ji refused to sing a song for the Congress, his songs on Akashvani were banned for this one crime. Apart from this, PM Modi targeted the opposition by referring to many other deals.
