In Vadodara, Gujarat giants and RCB scored a total of 403 runs in Vadodara on Friday. This is the highest run in any match in the Women’s Premier League. Earlier in 2023, 391 runs were scored in the match between these two teams.

Ashley Gardner hit a total of 8 sixes during his innings. This is the most sixes in an innings by any batsman in WPL.

The Women’s Premier League ‘WPL 2025’ started on Friday. Gujarat giants and last year champions Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were face to face in the first match in Vadodara, Gujarat. RCB started with victory by defeating GG by six wickets thanks to Richa Ghosh and Kanika Anuja’s fast-paced innings.

Batting first after losing the toss, the Gujarat giant raised a mountain of 201 runs at the loss of five wickets in the prescribed 20 overs. RCB, chasing the target, got the first two shocks. After losing two wickets on a score of just 14 runs, Alice Perry scored an aggressive innings of 57 runs in 34 balls.

In the end, Richa Ghosh (67 on 27 balls) and Kanika Anuja (30 off 13 balls) won the team by winning an unbeaten 93 off 37 balls. Both of them washed all the bowlers of Gujarat fiercely. RCB won the match in 18.3 overs with nine balls remaining. Richa Ghosh hit seven fours and four sixes.

Ashley Gardner took two wickets for Gujarat. Sayali Satghde and Deendra Dotin got one wicket each. The innings was started by Beth Muni and Laura Volvard. Bath scored 56 runs off 42 balls with the help of eight fours. Captan Gardner scored a huge innings of 79 runs off 37 balls at number four. He hit three fours and eight sixes.

Renuka Singh took the highest two wickets from RCB. He showed two batsmen for the pavilion for a total of 25 runs in his four -over quota. Kanika Anuja, Georgia Wareham and Prema Rawat got one success each.
