Allahabad High Court formed a committee on a petition seeking to paint in Sambhal Jama Masjid

Sambhal:
While hearing the petition of Sambhal’s royal Jama Masjid Committee, the Allahabad High Court formed a committee on Thursday. The High Court was sought permission to paint in the mosque. A committee has been formed by the court regarding a petition allowed to paint in the mosque. The court has formed a three -member committee considering the petition of the Muslim side. In which Mutavalli of the mosque has also been included. Members of ASI will also be involved in this committee.

While hearing today, the court said that because the month of Ramadan is about to begin, there is a need for dyeing in the mosque, but during this time, the court will decide after the report of the committee. The court will hear the matter on Friday. A single bench of Justice Rohit Ranjan Aggarwal will hear the issue.

On Tuesday, on the application number of the Masjid Committee, on 4/2025, on behalf of the Muslim side, Senior Advocate SFA Naqvi presented his side in the court. In which permission for dyeing and painting of the mosque was sought. He said that the application has already been submitted to the state and the defendant side. Senior advocate Hari Shankar Jain had appeared personally through video conferencing on behalf of Hindu side.

It is worth noting that the Managing Committee of the Sazid Committee in the royal Jama of Sambhal had applied before the Archaeological Department of India (ASI) and applied for dyeing and repair of the mosque in the month of Ramadan, which was rejected by the ASI. Against this, the Masjid Committee had filed an application in the High Court.
