The Indian team started practicing on Sunday at the beautiful ICC Academy Practice ground here before the Champions Trophy 2025. In this, Mohammed Shami spent a lot of time with bowling coach Morney Morkel. There was no question of alternative practice amidst strict implementation of the new standard operation process (SOP), so everyone from captain Rohit Sharma to young Harshit Rana practiced. Shami, who returned to international cricket through T20 and ODI against England, was wearing a stretched cap on his knee. He started with a small run-up.

Before the batsmen came to the net, Shami was seen adjusting her language and went to the end of the batsmen with bowling coach Morney Morkel. It seemed that he was talking about what should be the ideal language. Shami bowled fiercely after the batsmen landed for the practice.

Hardik Pandya and Shreyas Iyer played Kuldeep Yadav and the rest of the spinners. Rishabh Pant got a ball in the knee with a strong shot by Pandya. He groaned with pain, but Physio Kamlesh Jain immediately treated him. Pandya came out of the nets and came to know his condition. By the way, the injury was not serious and Pant immediately came for batting practice wearing a pad.

During the practice, Kohli was seen as a idol of concentration. Rohit was seen in a good mood after a century against England last week in Cuttack. During the net practice of the main batsmen, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakraborty and Pant practiced with fielding coach T Dilip. Kohli was seen joking during ‘Fun Activity’.
