Congress MLA Basavaraju V Shivganga on Sunday claimed that Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar will hold the post of Chief Minister by December. During a conversation with reporters in Davangere, MLA Basavaraju stressed that you (media) can write that Shivkumar will become CM by December. He claimed that after taking charge of the government, he would perform so well that he would win the next assembly elections and remain CM for the entire tenure.
MLA Basavaraju Shivganga reiterated that Shivkumar will work as the Chief Minister for the next 7.5 years from December. He further said that under the leadership of Shivkumar, the Congress party is expected to win the next assembly elections.

Demand for action against Cooperative Minister

Basavaraju Shivganga also urged the party leadership to take disciplinary action against Minister Rajanna and said that his comments have tarnished the party’s image.
Meanwhile, speaking at a party event in Udupi on Sunday, former Union Minister Veerappa Moily announced that no one could stop Shivkumar from becoming the Chief Minister. Moily gave this statement in the presence of Shivkumar and emphasized that it has already been decided to hand over the post of CM to Shivkumar.
Moily said that I had given Shivkumar a party ticket to contest the MLA election for the first time. He has prepared himself as a successful political leader and it is a matter of great pleasure.
