GUWAHATI: Guwahati Police, in coordination with the Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF), apprehended 26 drug peddlers from railway corridor areas across the city.

During the joint crackdown, officials seized 29 grams of heroin along with empty vials and syringes.
Nearly 20 kg of illegal cannabis plantations detected along railway tracks were also destroyed as part of the operation.
Legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused, while further investigations are underway.
