GUWAHATI: A 22-year-old man was killed in a road accident in Guwahati’s Lachit Nagar area early Saturday after a four-wheeler allegedly hit his scooter while he was entering GS Road from a bylane, police said on Sunday.

The victim, identified as Abhishek Das, was declared brought dead at a hospital, police said.
“The scooter was coming out from a bylane and the four-wheeler was on GS Road when the accident happened,” a police official said.
Police, citing a statement by Das’s parents, said he was a Rapido rider.
It was not immediately clear whether Das was on duty at the time of the accident.
