GUWAHATI: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) will organise a public meet-up in Guwahati on Sunday, September 27, with around 500 people expected to attend.

The programme will be held from 11 AM to 2 PM.
According to CJP, the main purpose of the programme is to bring together CJP members, volunteers and participants for public interaction and discussion on civic and public issues, and to exchange views on matters concerning citizens.
CJP co-convenor Ashutosh Ranka arrived in Guwahati on Saturday morning. Talking to the media outside the airport, Ranka said he would visit a few schools, meet people affected by SIR and meet CJP supporters during his stay in Assam.
“As far as I understand, we have immense support in the northeast region,” he told the media.
Ranka also said that CJP would soon announce its Assam unit as well as units in other northeast states soon.
“I am fully hopeful that we will able to spread fast our movement for better education system and greater accountability in this region,” Ranka further told the media.
Another group of CJP members from the central team has been camping in Guwahati for the past two to three days.
