GUWAHATI: The Guwahati City Chess Association will organise the Guwahati City Under-9 Chess Championship on May 23 and 24, 2026, at RG Baruah Road in Guwahati.

The tournament will be open to players below nine years of age from Kamrup (Metro) district and will be conducted in two categories: Under-9 Boys and Under-9 Girls.
According to the organisers, the championship will also serve as the selection tournament for the Guwahati team for the forthcoming All Assam Inter District Chess Championship.
