GUWAHATI: Guwahati is all set to witness a spiritual-themed Durga Puja this year, in Maligaon bringing the grandeur of Nandi Maharaj to its pandal as it marks its 25th year of celebrations.

The pandal will be designed around the spiritual theme of Nandi Maharaj, giving devotees a unique visual and devotional experience. The Durga idol is being crafted by artist Nirmal Paul from Bishnupur.
The puja celebrations have been planned with a budget of around Rs 12 lakh. Bandhan Sen will be responsible for the pandal decoration, while Chanku will handle the lighting arrangements.
Last year, the committee had opted for a traditional “Sabekiana” theme, with Bandhan Sen also taking charge of the pandal decoration.
The celebrations are being organised by the Sati Jaimati Nagar BG Colony Durga Puja Committee, Maligaon.
