GUWAHATI: The Embassy of India in Beijing and Kathmandu have issued advisories for Indian nationals in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China and Nepal following recent flash floods in border areas.

In their advisories dated August 26 and 27, the Embassies said Indian nationals stranded in the affected areas can seek assistance through designated contact points.
Those on the ground can contact Chinese officials at 0086 139 8999 0012. The Embassy of India in Beijing can be reached at 0086 185 1428 4905, including through WhatsApp.
Indian nationals can also contact the Embassy of India in Kathmandu at +977 985 131 6807, +977 970 910 7500 or +977 981 032 6117. All three numbers are available on WhatsApp.
The Embassy said it is in close touch with local authorities to assist affected Indian nationals.
Nepali authorities have also issued several helpline numbers for tourists and those affected by the floods. Assistance can be sought from the Tourist Police at +977 9851289445, Nepal Army at +977 9851072914, NDRRMA at +977 9851320269 / +977 9849281097, Nepal Police at 100, APF Nepal at 1114, and the National Emergency Operation Centre at 1234. District-level contacts are also available for Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and Chitwan.
The embassies have also advised Indians in the affected areas to follow all official advisories issued by local authorities.
