The Government of Rajasthan held the Pravasi Rajasthani Meet 2026 in Guwahati on Monday, September 28, bringing together members of the Rajasthani diaspora, industry representatives and senior government officials to discuss opportunities for investment, entrepreneurship and participation in Rajasthan’s development.
The meet was organised ahead of the Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas 2026, scheduled for December 10, and was jointly organised by the Department of Industries & Commerce and the Department of Domestic & Overseas Rajasthani Affairs (DORA), Government of Rajasthan.
Krishan Kumar K K Vishnoi, Minister of State for Industry & Commerce, Government of Rajasthan, called upon members of the Rajasthani diaspora to reconnect with the state and contribute to its growth.
Vishnoi said the success of Rajasthanis across the country reflected their enterprise, determination and contribution, and that their knowledge, experience, networks and entrepreneurial spirit could contribute to the vision of “Viksit Rajasthan and Viksit Bharat.”
“Congratulations to all those who have built successful enterprises and established themselves in other states. The vision of ‘Viksit Rajasthan, Viksit Bharat’, as envisioned by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, can be realised with your continued support and contribution. I invite you all to be a part of Rajasthan’s growth and development. Your roots are in Rajasthan, and your contribution can play a vital role in shaping its future,” he said.
He also said that investment worth ₹35 lakh crore took place in Rajasthan in the first year of the programme across sectors including tourism, mining, petrochemicals, handicrafts and handloom.
“This year too, we shall share a report-card of our growth during the Pravasi Rajasthani Divas, on 10th December,” Vishnoi said, while inviting investors from Rajasthan and other parts of the country to invest in the state.
The programme began with one-to-one meetings led by Shikhar Agarwal, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries Department, Government of Rajasthan, allowing members of the diaspora, industry representatives and government officials to interact directly.
Dr Manisha Arora, Special Secretary, Department of Domestic and Overseas Rajasthani Affairs (DORA) and Commissioner, Rajasthan Foundation, highlighted Rajasthan’s investment potential and the Rajasthan Foundation’s initiatives to strengthen engagement with the Rajasthani diaspora across the country.
Representatives of the Rajasthan Foundation, CII and industry also participated in the meet and shared perspectives on Rajasthan’s policies and opportunities, industry experiences, entrepreneurship and the role of the Pravasi Rajasthani community in the state’s development.
Rajasthan has 57 different minerals, which the government identifies as providing a base for industrial activity, enterprise and value creation. The state also has a substantial human resource base and a diversified economic landscape, with opportunities across multiple sectors.
The Guwahati meet is part of the Rajasthan government’s broader initiative to strengthen engagement with the Rajasthani diaspora in India and overseas. The initiative aims to facilitate continued dialogue between the diaspora, government and industry and encourage participation in Rajasthan’s economic, entrepreneurial, social and developmental activities.
The Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas was first held on December 10, 2025. The event and associated Pravasi Rajasthani Meets are platforms for engaging with the Rajasthani diaspora, entrepreneurs, professionals and industry leaders.
The next Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas will be held on December 10.
