GUWAHATI: A 19-year-old woman from Assam was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a paying guest (PG) accommodation in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Monday, police said.

The woman had travelled to Noida in search of a private-sector job and was accompanied by a man. She was found dead on the floor of a room adjacent to the one where she had been staying at the PG accommodation.
The man who had accompanied her is currently absconding, and police teams have been deployed to trace him.
Forensic experts and crime scene investigators examined the spot. Following inquest proceedings, the woman’s body was sent for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
