According to the UFBU circular, a high-level committee comprising representatives of the IBA and UFBU will be formed immediately to discuss the demand for declaring the remaining Saturdays as holidays. The committee will explore possible alternatives, consult stakeholders and work towards a solution acceptable to all parties, with the interests of customers also taken into account.
The two sides also agreed to begin discussions on the Performance Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for Scale IV and above officers. The IBA will propose modifications to the Government under the scheme to address observations raised by the unions and associations.
Other residual issues listed in the minutes of the March 8, 2024 meeting will also be discussed between the two sides for an early resolution.
In view of these developments, the UFBU has decided to defer its proposed agitation programmes and strike actions.
