The strike has been called by the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU). SBI has advised customers to complete important banking transactions and branch-related work in advance to avoid possible disruption during the strike period.

Customers have also been advised to use ATMs and ADWMs for cash requirements and access Customer Service Points (CSPs) for available banking services. SBI has encouraged customers to use digital channels, including Internet Banking, YONO, mobile banking and UPI, during the strike period.

Services requiring physical documentation or assistance from bank staff may be affected during the strike. Cheque-related processes and other services that depend on branch staff could also face delays or disruptions.

The proposed strike will be held on September 28, 29 and 30. With September 26 and 27 falling on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, customers may face limited access to regular branch services for five consecutive days.

The advisory follows the UFBU's nationwide strike on September 11. The union forum has also announced further protest action, including a continuous strike beginning October 26 as part of its ongoing agitation.
