GUWAHATI: A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck parts of Assam in the early hours of Tuesday, October 6, with the epicentre located in Nagaon district, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).

The tremor was recorded at 4:23:47 AM on October 6, at a depth of around 33 kilometres.
The NCS placed the epicentre at 26.428°N latitude and 93.060°E longitude in the Nagaon area.
Tremors were felt across several parts of Assam following the quake. No casualties or reports of damage to property have been received so far.
