GUWAHATI: A man was arrested by the Panbazar All Women Police Station in connection with a case involving allegations of deception in a relationship, criminal intimidation, and forced miscarriage, police said on Sunday, May 17.

The accused, identified as Chinmoy Dutta (30) from Gotanagar, was taken into custody following a complaint lodged by a woman who alleged that he had established a physical relationship with her on the promise of marriage.
According to the complaint, the accused later abandoned the woman after she suffered medical complications linked to the relationship. The case also includes allegations of intimidation and non-consensual miscarriage.
Legal proceedings have been initiated and further investigation is underway.
