GUWAHATI: The Assam Cabinet on Sunday, August 30, approved enhanced Orunodoi assistance for beneficiaries in Sivasagar and Charaideo, with eligible beneficiaries in the two districts set to receive ₹2,000 on September 10, while beneficiaries in other districts will receive ₹1,200 on the same date.

In another decision aimed at supporting flood-affected families, the state government will provide ₹15,000 to the remaining beneficiaries on September 1 as part of its relief measures.
The Cabinet also approved the release of financial incentives under the Chief Minister’s Jibon Prerana Scheme and CM-FLIGHT (Chief Minister’s Foreign Language Initiative for Global Human Talent) from September 1, 2026.
The decisions were taken at the Assam Cabinet meeting held on August 30.
