Assam Extends Cashless Dialysis Scheme in Private Hospitals Till Sept 30


 

GUWAHATI: The Assam government has extended cashless dialysis treatment for eligible beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) and Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana (MMJAY) in empanelled private hospitals till September 30, 2026.

Announcing the decision on X, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the extension has been approved to ensure uninterrupted care for nephrology patients requiring dialysis.

"Sharing an update. To ensure uninterrupted care, Govt of Assam will continue to honour all cashless treatments of eligible dialysis procedures in empanelled private hospitals till 30 Sep 2026 under PMJAY & MMJAY," the Chief Minister posted.

The government clarified that there will be no restrictions or changes in dialysis services provided at public hospitals.

According to the announcement, after September 30, eligible dialysis treatment under PMJAY and MMJAY will be available only in public hospitals.

The extension applies to eligible beneficiaries receiving cashless dialysis treatment at empanelled private hospitals under the two health insurance schemes.
