GUWAHATI: The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) declared the Higher Secondary Final Examination 2026 results on Tuesday, April 28, with the Science stream recording the highest pass percentage at 89.79 per cent.

According to the results, the Commerce stream registered a pass percentage of 81.13 per cent, followed by Arts at 79.54 per cent, while the Vocational stream recorded 74.19 per cent.
A total of 60,667 students appeared in the Science stream, of whom 54,474 passed. In Arts, 2,41,124 students appeared and 1,91,798 cleared the examination. The Commerce stream saw 19,469 candidates appear, with 15,796 passing, while 1,087 out of 1,465 candidates passed in the Vocational stream.
In terms of divisions, 34,079 Science students secured first division, followed by 17,777 in second division and 2,618 in third division. In Arts, 54,755 students secured first division, 79,181 second division and 57,862 third division.
In Commerce, 7,787 candidates passed in first division, 5,694 in second division and 2,315 in third division. In the Vocational stream, 92 students secured first division, 701 second division and 294 third division.
Science emerged as the best-performing stream in terms of pass percentage, while Arts accounted for the highest number of candidates appearing for the examination.
