GUWAHATI: The Special Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for Bodo, Garo, Hmar and Manipuri medium schools was held across Assam on Sunday, June 28, with 87.96 per cent attendance and no disruptions reported at any centre.

The Assam State School Education Board conducted the examination in coordination with district administrations and examination officials. All designated centres functioned smoothly and necessary arrangements were made to ensure a fair examination process.
The Special TET is being held to enable recruitment of qualified teachers for Lower Primary and Upper Primary schools in Bodo, Garo, Hmar and Manipuri medium institutions.
The test forms part of the government’s initiative to strengthen mother tongue education, promote quality education and safeguard the linguistic diversity of the state.
