GUWAHATI: Assam minister Atul Bora has been given additional charge of the Parliamentary Affairs Department, according to a notification issued by the Government of Assam.

The notification, dated May 16, stated that the Governor of Assam, on the advice of the Chief Minister, entrusted Bora with the responsibility as an interim arrangement.
Bora, who currently handles the Panchayat and Rural Development, Implementation of Assam Accord, Border Protection and Development, and Excise departments, will now also oversee matters related to Parliamentary Affairs until further orders.
The order was issued by the Parliamentary Affairs Department from Dispur and circulated to senior administrative officials, departments and constitutional authorities for necessary action.
