BJP candidate Pradyut Bordoloi has consolidated his lead with 29,838 votes. Borthakur has secured 7,528 votes so far, while independent candidate Jayanta Kumar Das is in third place with 3,208 votes.

The Dispur contest has drawn significant attention this election cycle due to political shifts ahead of the polls. Bordoloi had resigned from the INC before joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), citing internal dissent within the party.

Following his induction and candidature from the BJP in Dispur, Jayanta Das stepped down from the party and chose to contest the election as an independent candidate. Meanwhile, the Congress fielded Borthakur in an attempt to retain its footing in the constituency.

With multiple political realignments shaping the contest, Dispur has emerged as one of the more closely watched seats, though current trends indicate a widening gap after four rounds of counting.
