Dipke was arrested on Saturday morning for allegedly violating a peace bond he had furnished on October 10. His arrest followed his refusal to comply with a police notice prohibiting him from holding the ‘Lehra Do Tiranga’ march at Connaught Place on Friday.

He was produced before the Special Executive Magistrate (SEM) court on Saturday in a fresh preventive proceeding related to an alleged breach of peace under Sections 126 and 170 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). He was subsequently released after signing another peace bond.

The latest development came after Ratna Singh, head of legal affairs for the CJP, challenged the legality of Dipke’s arrest and urged the SEM court to order his immediate release. Singh alleged violations of fundamental rights and due process.

The latest case is separate from the preventive action initiated on October 10, when police detained Dipke aboard a flight at Delhi airport and required him to sign a peace bond undertaking not to disturb public peace for one year.

Meanwhile, CJP activists Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka remain in judicial custody after allegedly attempting to enter the Jantar Mantar area.

The developments unfolded amid widespread demonstrations against the Election Commission over alleged irregularities in electoral roll revisions. Around 150 demonstrators were reportedly detained and several FIRs were registered by Delhi Police over alleged violations of prohibitory orders after crowds gathered despite public warnings.
