GUWAHATI: A grocery shop was completely gutted after a fire broke out at Lakhimi Path in Hatigaon, Guwahati, in the early hours of Friday, September 4.

According to a police official from Hatigaon Police Station, the fire broke out at around 5 AM. No injuries or fatalities were reported in the incident.
A short circuit is suspected to have caused the fire. Fire and Emergency Services personnel reached the spot after receiving information and brought the blaze under control.
The fire reportedly spread rapidly through the shop, destroying grocery items and other materials stored inside the premises.
Hatigaon Police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
