Guwahati's Nilachal Flyover Service Lane to Remain Closed on July 23 Due to Drainage Improvement Works


 

GUWAHATI: The District Road Safety Committee has issued a traffic advisory announcing the temporary closure of the service lane of Nilachal Flyover on the Adabari–Bharalumukh side on July 23, 2026, due to drainage improvement works being carried out by the PWD (Roads), Jalukbari Territorial Road Division.

Commuters travelling from Adabari towards Maligaon Chariali have been advised to use alternate routes, including Adabari Tiniali–Pandu Port Road, crossing Nilachal Flyover and taking a right at Barabazar via Pandu Cabin Road, or crossing the flyover, taking a U-turn at the Taxi Stand, and proceeding via the service road.

The same traffic diversions will also be applicable for those travelling to Maa Kamakhya Temple and Kamakhya Railway Station.

Authorities have urged commuters to plan their journeys in advance, follow the notified diversions, and drive cautiously to avoid inconvenience.
