Guwahati’s Panjabari Road in Mess After April 19 Rain, Locals Demand Action


 

GUWAHATI: Heavy rainfall on April 19 caused severe disruption in Guwahati’s Panjabari area, leaving large portions of the road covered in mud.

Even days later, the situation remains unresolved, creating serious parking issues and daily inconvenience for commuters.

Local shops are also struggling, as thick layers of mud in front of their establishments are affecting business and accessibility.

Speaking to GPlus, shopkeepers said they are facing major difficulties, adding that customers are avoiding their shops due to the mud-covered entrances.

Nearby residents are also dealing with problems, as mud has accumulated in front of their gates, making access to their homes difficult. Residents are now seeking help from the local authorities to clear the road and restore normal conditions.
