Police arrested three people and recovered ₹40,000 in cash, four mobile phones and six sovereigns of gold from their possession.
According to police, the gang was also planning to commit further robberies before travelling to Assam.
The case highlights Assam's continuing link to inter-state narcotics networks, with police from other states increasingly identifying it as a source destination for drug procurement tied to criminal proceeds.
