GUWAHATI: The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has issued a set of important instructions for candidates appearing in the Combined Competitive Examination (Preliminary), 2025, scheduled to be held on July 5.

According to the notification issued on July 3 by the Principal Controller of Examinations, candidates will be permitted to carry only a blue or black ball pen, their e-Admission Certificate along with a passport-size photograph, and an original photo identity card such as an Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, PAN Card, Driving Licence, Passport, or an identity card issued by a government department, PSU or educational institution.
The Commission has strictly prohibited candidates from carrying mobile phones, water bottles, watches or any other electronic devices inside the examination venue. It warned that possession of prohibited items would be treated as the use of unfair means and may invite disciplinary action, including debarment from future APSC examinations.
Candidates have also been advised to carefully fill in and darken their Roll Number, Test Booklet Number and Series on the OMR answer sheet. OMR sheets with incomplete or incorrect markings will not be evaluated.
After the examination, candidates must submit the red-coloured copy of the OMR answer sheet to the invigilator while retaining the blue-coloured carbon copy of the OMR sheet and the test booklet for their records.
The Commission has urged all candidates to strictly adhere to the instructions to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination.
