GUWAHATI: A 25-year-old youth from Nalbari was booked by the Guwahati Traffic Police for allegedly riding a scooty recklessly on city roads and endangering public safety, officials said on Wednesday, May 20.

The accused, identified as Nikunoni Narzary, was intercepted by a traffic police team after he was reportedly seen performing dangerous manoeuvres resembling stunt riding on public roads.
According to the police, several violations were detected during the interception, including reckless and dangerous driving, failure to carry valid driving documents, violation of safety norms, improper use of the vehicle, and other breaches of traffic regulations.
Police said legal action has been initiated against the rider under relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles (MV) Act.
The Guwahati Traffic Police have urged motorists to follow traffic rules and avoid reckless driving practices that could put lives at risk.
