GUWAHATI: Continuous heavy rainfall on the morning of Friday, May 15, resulted in multiple trees being uprooted on Geetanagar Road in Guwahati, disrupting movement and causing inconvenience for commuters and residents in the area.

According to locals, one huge tree, along with two smaller trees, fell on the roadside following continuous rain, partially obstructing movement and making it difficult for vehicles and pedestrians to pass through.
Residents said the fallen trees have created a major hurdle for daily commuters, especially during peak hours, as the road has become difficult to navigate. Many were seen slowing down or taking alternate routes to avoid the affected stretch.
When contacted, officials from Geetanagar Police stated that they had not yet received any official information regarding the incident. As of now, no injuries or property damage have been reported.
