GUWAHATI: A shocking incident from Assam’s Charaideo district has sparked outrage after CCTV footage from a government primary school in Mathurapur area went viral on social media on Wednesday, May 13.
The video shows a teacher, identified as Ariful Islam, assaulting students inside a classroom at Mathurapur PMC Primary School. The teacher can be seen carrying a child towards a first-floor window and allegedly attempting to throw the student out.
The incident has raised serious concerns over the safety of children in schools. Many people on social media have demanded strict action against the accused teacher.
Following the incident, the All Tea Tribes Students’ Association (ATTSA) staged protests and condemned the teacher’s behaviour. The organisation also submitted a memorandum to the Charaideo District Commissioner, demanding immediate departmental action against the accused.
