When is central TET this year? What is the application period? CBSE said


The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the notification for this year’s Central Teacher Eligibility Test (C-TET). This exam will be held across the country in September. Registration for the exam is open from Tuesday (May 12). Interested candidates can register by visiting the prescribed website.

CBSE will conduct the 22nd edition of C-TET this year. The exam will be held on September 6 in selected exam centers of 132 cities across the country. The first and second paper of C-TET will be held on the same day. Candidates can take C-TET in 27 languages ​​this year. The prospective exam results are expected to be declared in the last week of October.

How do I register?

1. Candidates must first visit the website ctet.nic.in or cbse.gov.in.

2) Click on ‘Apply Online’ link.

3) After clicking on the link, fill the application form correctly with all the information.

4. Also, the photograph and signature of the candidate should also be uploaded on the website.

5. The next step is to submit the application fee for the exam.

6. After submitting the application fee, download and print the ‘Confirmation Page’ and keep it with you.

Note that candidates can appear for either or both of the first and second papers. Application fee for reserved candidates for one paper is Rs. Unreserved candidates have to deposit Rs. Reserved candidates have to deposit Rs. 600 and unreserved candidates have to deposit Rs. 1,200 for both papers. Candidates will not get an opportunity to choose their preferred exam center. You have to go to the city center where the board will allocate the seats.

Note that C-TET is mandatory for teaching mainly in schools under Central Govt. Those who want to teach at the primary level from Class I to Class V must pass the first paper.

Those who wish to teach from class VI to class VIII i.e. upper primary level must pass the second paper. And if one wants to teach students from class I to class VIII, they have to pass both papers.
