From the wild landscapes of Kaziranga and the river island of Majuli to the mighty Brahmaputra, lush tea gardens and vibrant cultural traditions, Assam offers a diverse travel experience within India.
The appeal comes as Modi called on people to embrace Swadeshi and self-reliance, encouraging Indians to holiday within the country, host weddings in India and avoid unnecessary spending abroad.
Highlighting India’s 7.8% GDP growth, the Prime Minister also credited the people for sustaining the economy amid global uncertainty, geopolitical conflicts and supply chain disruptions.
For Assam, the message is an invitation: before looking abroad, discover the experiences waiting closer to home.
