GUWAHATI: A 19-year-old man has lodged a First Information Report (FIR) at Latasil Police Station, alleging that he was physically assaulted by a youth BJP leader following a minor traffic dispute on the Maharaj Prithu Flyover near Guwahati Club on Sunday evening, July 5.

The accused has been identified as Abhilash Dutta. According to the complaint, the altercation began after the teenager allegedly overtook Dutta's vehicle, following which he was allegedly manhandled.
A video of the incident, which has since gone viral on social media, appears to show Dutta physically assaulting the complainant while two bystanders look on.
Confirming the development, a police official at Latasil Police Station said that Dutta and another individual have been summoned for questioning.
"They have come to the police station and we are questioning them. Their car is presently in our custody," the official said.
