GUWAHATI: A major road accident was reported late Thursday night, May 14, at Palashbari in Guwahati after a speeding dumper lost control, crashed through a bridge railing, and plunged into a stream below.

Speaking to GPlus, a police official said that the heavily loaded vehicle was allegedly travelling at high speed when the driver lost control near the bridge. The dumper rammed into the railing before falling off the bridge, leaving the vehicle in a damaged condition.
Despite the severity of the crash, the driver narrowly escaped with minor injuries and survived the accident. The dumper, however, was almost completely wrecked due to the impact.
Following the incident, a crane was brought in to recover the damaged vehicle from the stream.
