GUWAHATI: AIUDF president Badruddin Ajmal has been admitted to a hospital in Mumbai after falling ill.

The senior AIUDF leader is currently undergoing medical treatment. His scheduled journey for the holy Hajj pilgrimage later this week has been postponed following his illness.
In the recent Assam Assembly elections, Badruddin Ajmal secured a decisive victory from the Binnakandi constituency, defeating Assam Jatiya Parishad candidate Rejaul Karim Chowdhury by a margin of 35,380 votes.
Ajmal polled 119,721 votes, while Chowdhury secured 84,341 votes.
